About

A search index for every winget package.

Wingetly is a free search index for every Windows Package Manager (winget) package in microsoft/winget-pkgs, synced hourly, with copy-paste install commands, silent-install flags, known CVEs, and an install-pack builder. It is built and maintained by Pckgr and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft. See how it compares with other winget search sites.

Built by Pckgr

Wingetly is built and maintained by Pckgr - automated application patching for Microsoft Intune. We index the public microsoft/winget-pkgs repo and offer the site for free to the Windows admin community. Pckgr covers hosting and maintenance so the catalog stays free, ad-light, and updated.

Why we built it

Searching the winget catalog inside the CLI is fine for known package ids, but the discovery experience is poor. Wingetly gives the catalog a real search index, a clean detail page per app, and an install-pack builder so you can hand a one-line command to someone (or a fleet) without scripting.

How it stays in sync

An indexer pulls microsoft/winget-pkgs on a schedule, parses changed YAML manifests, and upserts them into Postgres. The site renders from that database with short cache windows so updates surface within minutes of the indexer run.

About Pckgr

Pckgr is an automated application patching tool for Microsoft Intune. It maintains a curated library of pre-tested apps and continuously re-packages and re-deploys new versions to your tenant via Microsoft Graph.

Pckgr placements on Wingetly are clearly labelled. The catalog itself is never re-ranked, hidden, or paywalled based on commercial relationships.

Trademarks

Windows, winget, and the Windows Package Manager are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. App names, icons, and trademarks shown on Wingetly belong to their respective owners. We surface them as fair-use catalog metadata sourced from public manifests.
