What is winget?

Windows Package Manager (winget) is the official command-line installer that ships with Windows 10 (1809+) and Windows 11. It pulls apps from a public community repository at microsoft/winget-pkgs - the same repository Wingetly mirrors and indexes.

A typical winget install is one line: winget install --id Mozilla.Firefox --exact. For unattended deployment via Intune, Configuration Manager, or PowerShell, add --silent --accept-package-agreements --accept-source-agreements.

How do I find a winget package ID?
Search Wingetly by app name or publisher. Every app page shows the exact package id and a ready-to-paste command such as winget install --id Mozilla.Firefox --exact. Use the --exact flag so winget matches the id and not a partial name.
How do I install several winget apps at once?
Click Add to pack on any app, then open Packs to copy a single winget command that installs all of them, download a silent .ps1 for Intune or PowerShell, or share a link that pre-loads the same pack for someone else. Open the pack builder.
