What is winget?

Windows Package Manager (winget) is the official command-line installer that ships with Windows 10 (1809+) and Windows 11. It pulls apps from a public community repository at microsoft/winget-pkgs - the same repository Wingetly mirrors and indexes.

A typical winget install is one line: winget install --id Mozilla.Firefox --exact. For unattended deployment via Intune, Configuration Manager, or PowerShell, add --silent --accept-package-agreements --accept-source-agreements.

Wingetly gives that catalog a real search index, a per-app detail page with a copy-paste install command, and an install-pack builder so you can hand a one-line command to a fleet without scripting. See the docs for the short guide.
